I’m interested in trying out your product for a wedding cake I have to do this summer but I’m afraid the cake will spoil under the summer heat. Can you put Fondarific in the refrigerator once it has been applied to a cake?

A. Yes, you can put your cake in the refrigerator. All fondants will sweat when taken out of the refrigerator, so it is best to place your cake into a cake box; it will absorb most of the moisture. But if the box will not fit in your frig no worries. Just take you cake out several hours before the event and let air dry. Do not touch your cake during drying because it will leave finger prints. If you need to speed up drying time place a fan in the room, but not too close to your cake.

During the winter my Fondarific arrives really hard and during the summer it is really soft, is this normal?

A. Yes, if your fondant arrives hard microwave 10 seconds a pound and knead, DO NOT over heat, if you do use summer instructions. During the summer your fondant will arrive very soft, do not be alarmed, allow Fondarific to come back to room temperature and kneed the bloom back into the fondant. Summer or winter shipments do not affect the quality of your Fondarific fondant.

Sometimes my fondant will get very stretchy and hard to handle, is this normal?

A. Not usually. Some people have very warm hands, after kneading and rolling out your fondant let set for about 5 to 10 minutes before moving to your cake.

Can you color Fondarific?

A. Yes, Tint a small amount or enough Fondarific Fondant to cover a whole cake. As with any icing, tint colors one at a time; matching colors later may be difficult. Add paste or gel until you arrive at the exact shade you want to achieve. If you’d rather not mix colors yourself, use Fondarific’s pre-tinted fondant. It is available in a variety of shades. Fruit flavors do not tint well, and always start with a small amount of fondant to check your color. Adding to much color to Fondarific might change its consistency so use concentrated amounts. Should you add too much the fondant may become tacky, but just let it rest for about 10 minutes then knead.

Is Fondarific Fondant tree nut and peanut free?

A. Yes, our fondant and facility is totally tree nut and peanut free.

Can I use Fondarific in a sheeter or cricket?

A. Yes. We recommend cooling the fondant with cricket use.

Do I need a PayPal account to pay for my order on your shopping cart.

A. No….You can use any form of payment on our shopping cart….PayPal is our credit card processor.
